"Director
Simon Stallworthy is to be congratulated… he has done
an excellent job, as has the cast of four which does
full justice to this delightful piece. For me this production
brought a breath of fresh air to Hull Truck. I would
like to see more of it's kind".
The
Stage
"Now
a comedy classic, this lightly whipped confection of
misunderstanding and mistaken identity had it's premiere
in Scarborough 32 years ago. It was written at the behest
of the late Stephen Joseph who wanted a play "to make
people laugh when their seaside summer holidays were
spoiled by the rain". And this enjoyable production,
the first Ayckbourn mounted by Hull Truck, still achieves
that happy aim".
